Dogs
Have you ever heard the phrase “the family that plays together, stays together” well we are certainly in tune with that philosophy in the Mac Gafraidh household.
Poor Uilleam lives in a household full of female influences. He lives of course with his wife and daughter, but also with two female dogs. They are called Fudge and Bashful. They are the friendliest bounciest dogs you would ever meet.
How did this happen?
Well, Chelsea is a soft touch. She takes in strays (like her husband!) Once you understand that you will realize why the dogs ended up living with us.
This is how the story goes…..
We had a dog living under our house that we had been trying to shoo away due to the fact that the dog was pregnant. Well we were not successful in doing so and the dog had puppies under our house (4 in all)
We put ads out for these 4 puppies and in the interim we named them Sox, Tiny, Fudge and Bashful and here is why.
Sox due to a white pattern on his feet that made it look like he was wearing socks.
Tiny as he was the smallest one of the litter
Fudge as she was the only brown one in a litter of black pups
Bashful as she cowered when people came to look at the puppies.
Sox and Tiny left us within a few days and despite trying to find a good home for Bashful (as by this time we had decided to keep Fudge) we found that we were going to become a two dog family.
Both Fudge and Bashful, although boisterous and loud at times are every bit a part of the family as eating turkey at Thanksgiving. They are more than pets to us.
God bless
