Tabitha
This is a quick introduction to the first daughter of Chelsea and Uilleam Mac Gafraidh. We were blessed on the 23rd of June in the year of our LORD 2009 with a wonderful daughter.
As the title suggests we called her Tabitha Valeri Mc Cafferty (in English) she will of course be entitled to call herself Mac Gafraidh (in Gaelic) she was born at our local hospital and weighed 8 lbs even.
Why did we name her what we did?
Tabitha was a character in the Bible. She is mentioned in Acts 9 as a disciple who by interpretation is also called Dorcus. She is mentioned twice in the Bible in Acts 9:36 and Acts 9:40. The Tabitha in the Bible was “full of good works”. We hope this is also the case for our daughter.
Valeri is simply the name of Chelsea’s mother. We felt that it was important to honour one of the grandparents in the naming of the child. Should we be blessed with another child we will of course carry on this tradition.
We look forward to our new life with Tabitha and we look forward to keeping you informed of parts of her life.
Here again is the first outing we have of Tabitha in her 20 week ultrasound, enjoy!
God bless
